Following Dog Park Rules

Did you know that some dog parks have actually been closed down due to the complaints? Sometimes, neighbors and dog park users become concerned with what they see and so the parks are forced to shut down. Some of the most common complaints received about the abuse of dog park rules include:
1. Dog owners not cleaning up after their pets. When you take your pet to the dog park, it is your responsibility to clean up after it. Make sure that you do not violate this rule by leaving waste behind.
2. Dog owners not keeping their pets under control. Even in areas where a leash is not required, it is important that you keep your dog under control. It is up to you to make sure that you watch your dog as it explores the dog park. You should also keep a close eye on your dog when it is interacting with other people's pets.
3. Dog owners getting into fights with one another. While you are at the dog park, it is important for you to remember that you are sharing this area with other people. In order to ensure that the area remains friendly, try to avoid conflicts with other dog owners.
If you take preventative measures and act appropriately while visiting your local dog park, you will ensure that that park remains open and accessible to you and your pet in the future.
