As a dog owner, you know that one of the best ways to reward your dog for good behavior is to give it a treat.  However, you may be tired of buying the store variety and want to give your pet something more natural and healthy.   Some of the healthiest dog treats can be found inside of your refridgerator:

Cottage Cheese
Many people give their dogs cheese as an award, but cottage cheese is a healthier option and is packed full of protein which is good for your pet.

Rice
You can give your dog a little cooked rice in its bowl and the best thing is that this treat is low calorie.  If your dog happens to have an upset stomach, you can also give it rice to ease nausea.
