Thanks to reality television and other media sources, animal rescues have become primetime television. Such is the case of one tiny puppy that has defied all odds and quickly become an internet sensation. In early March a stray dog was found wandering the streets of San Bernardino, California. The dog gave birth to a litter of puppies that was discovered and brought into an animal shelter. One of those puppies was so tiny that it weighed just one ounce and could fit inside a teaspoon. Veterinarians were able to save the miniscule puppy which wasn't breathing when first discovered.
The veterinary staff performed chest compressions with just enough pressure to get the heart pumping once again. Now three weeks old, the puppy has grown but is not nearly as large as her brothers and sisters. Several videos and pictures have been posted online of the tiny dog that fits inside a mug and is smaller than a cell phone. The foundation that is now taking care of Beyonce, the tiny pup, has received thousands of requests for her adoption.
