Man Spends $60,000 during Dog Custody Case

One couple has been fighting over a small, cute dog for months and it is costing them a fortune. Now, the man is now asking complete strangers for money to continue his legal fight over a Puggle named Knuckles. According to the lawsuit, C.D., who co-owned the dog with his ex-girlfriend, S.B., has the legal right to the dog. Knuckles was adopted from a New Jersey breeder by C.D. who then shared the small dog with his girlfriend for four years. When they broke up, however, she reportedly violated an agreement that they had and took the dog to live with her permanently. C.D. claims that the dog was only supposed to stay with his ex-girlfriend until he found a new place to live; she claims that the Puggle was a gift to her after their relationship ended.

After spending $60,000 of his own money, C.D. has gone online and started asking for money from donors. He hopes to raise $20,000 by the end of the summer - so far, he has collected just $125. There have been some critics of the website to which C.D. responds that they simply do not understand the bond between a dog and its owner.
