Jennifer Bush

Jen has been interested in animals from a very young age. She moved around with her family a lot but was lucky to have a canine or feline best friend where ever she went. Pets are a very important part of any family and can provide untold benefits to their human companions.

In 2003 Jen graduated college in California with a degree in Psychology. After working for a short amount of time as a behavioral counselor and deciding this was not the right fit she was lucky enough to find a job in the animal care industry and fell in love. Caring for patients who do not have their own voice as well as helping owners navigate pet health care is where Jen’s passion lies. Not long after finding this niche Jen decided to set her sights on Vet School. She took a year’s break from the animal care industry to fulfill some goals, volunteering in Alaska for AmeriCorps and backpacking in New Zealand and Australia, then moved to Oregon.

Here in Oregon Jen has focused on preparing for vet school both by attending OSU and working at a variety of clinics, shelters, and spay/neuter programs in the area. She feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with At Home Veterinary Services. Home vet services provides a wonderful blend of working towards the health and welfare for the pet while keeping them in a familiar and comforting environment.
