Jennifer's lifelong love of animals was formed early on. As a child, Jen begged her parents for a cat. So, for her 12th birthday Jen finally got to pick out a kitten of her own, whom she named Jaycie. Jen and Jaycie would spend the next 17 years together.

In 1996 Jen graduated from art school in Columbus, Ohio, packed up Jaycie and moved to Portland. A few years later she got a job as a receptionist at a local veterinary clinic and discovered a love for veterinary medicine. Jen enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at Portland Community College. While working on her degree, Jen also worked as a technician assistant at Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital. It was at Dove Lewis that Jen first met and worked alongside Dr. Louise Mesher.

In 2005, Jen graduated from the Veterinary Technician program and passed the National Board Exam to become a Licensed Technician. She worked at a variety of clinics, gaining experience and learning the business of healing animals. In 2010, Jen came back into contact with Dr. Mesher, and was very excited to become a part of At Home Veterinary Services.

She hopes to bring her considerable knowledge and years of experience to this unique type of veterinary service. Jen currently shares her home with her husband Paul, 2 dogs and 3 cats. In addition to caring for animals, Jen also loves to draw, paint, sew, read and make crafts.
