Before bringing a new cat into your home, it's important to know a little bit about the breed. Below is some helpful information about Bengal cats:
Physical Description: Bengals are traditionally tan or orange with brown tabby markings that resemble a leopard.
Behavior: Bengals are high-energy cats that are curious, confident, alert, highly intelligent, and friendly. They also have a love of water. Bengals are highly active cats that demand a lot of attention. They are also very agile and athletic. Because these cats are so intelligent, it is possible to train a Bengal cat. They are also known to act more like a dog than like a cat. Bengals love to be walked on a leash, play games of fetch, investigate new surroundings, and play in water.
Grooming: very little grooming is required for these types of cats. Owners should brush their hair once a week to control shedding.
Ideal Companion: Bengals do best in homes with other animals and/or experienced cat owners. Furthermore, because these cats are highly energetic and constantly on the move, their ideal companion is someone who can provide them with the attention and daily interaction they need.
