Outdoor Bird Feeder Tips

If you like to have a bird feeder outside of your home and are worried about how the cold, winter weather will impact bird feedings, consider these few tips:
Purchase a suet feeder. These specific types of feeder have rendered fat which can help birds stay warm throughout the chilly, winter months.
Keep an eye out for creatures that like to steal food. Many people with bird feeders quickly discover that other tree animals, like squirrels, can consume bird feed after chewing up a plastic feeder. So, try to keep squirrels at bay.
Experts say that you should purchase high grade seed. This particular type results in less waste and is preferred by birds. One favorite is black-oil sunflower seeds.
Some people like to put a pine cone with peanut butter and seed outside for birds. However, these types of feeders can easily be carried away by other animals such as raccoons and squirrels.
