Do You Want to be a Pet Foster Parent?

Have you ever wondered how you can become a pet foster parent?  Have you given thought to providing a home for a dog, cat or other type of pet on a temporary basis until it is adopted by a long-term owner?

If so, the best thing you can do is contact your local Humane Society or animal rescue organizations that are close to you.  You will most likely discover that these types of organizations are in dire need of pet foster homes and willing to accept help.

You will probably be asked to participate in an interview and also have to fill out an application before you are approved as a pet foster parent.  Some groups may also ask that you complete a seminar or training before they allow you to foster animals and these types of requirements will vary from organization-to-organization.

After you have fulfilled requirements and are approved, the organization will start placing animals in your care.  You will quickly find that being a pet foster parent can be very rewarding.
