Do you like to give your dog indoor baths? If so, here are a few tips that just may make the job a bit easier for you:
Before you start soaking and scrubbing your dog, make sure that you have all the necessary items in place. Gather towels, shampoo and brushes before you start washing your pet.
Sometimes, dogs can slip and slide when they are in your bath. To prevent this, invest in a bath mat and place it at the bottom of the tub. This should stop your dog from sliding during bath times.
It is a well-known fact that dogs shed and their hair can clog your drain quickly. To stop this from happening, buy a screen cover and place it over the drain opening. The screen will collect your dog's hair.
Dogs that have floppy ears tend to get infections when water gets inside their ear canals. You can combat this by putting cotton balls inside of your dog's ear canals before bath time.
Finally, if your dog has allergies or reactions to chemicals, purchase dog shampoo that is made for dog's with sensitive skin. This will ensure that your dog does not have a reaction and prevent it from scratching itself after its bath.
