When it comes to a dog's diet, many pet owners find themselves wondering which is better: canned food or dry food. While this has been long debated, there are certain benefits associated with canned dog food. Some of these advantages are outlined below:
Canned food is really high in protein, which is great for dogs in particular.
Sometimes, dogs can be very particular about what they eat. For some reason, they seem to be more responsive to eating canned food than dry food, so it can be beneficial for those dogs that under eat or who cannot chew hard food due to dental problems.
Many canned food brands that are on the market have less fillers and are not as processed as some dried dog foods.
When canned food is unopened, it may have a longer life span that some types of dry dog food.
