If you are a cat owner, you may want to know about two common errors people commonly make while feeding their friendly felines. Usually, these mistakes are made unknowingly, but can lead to health risks such as obesity if made over and over again.
The first error is feeding a cat too much food. All too often, cat owners fill their pets' bowls to the rim. The problem is that cats will eat and eat as long as food is offered to them and this can make them gain unnecessary weight. Instead, cat owners should only feed their pets a certain amount as determined healthy by their veterinarians.
Second, cat owners tend to feed their pets too much dry food, which can also increase pounds. Instead, experts say that people should feed their cats a both wet and dry food. This will increase their intake of fluids which is detrimental to preventing health issues like urinary tract infections.
