Keeping Your Dog Active Indoors

Now that the weather is turning colder and some state residents are forced to stay indoors due to climatic changes, people with dogs may be wondering how they can get their pets some exercise. During warmer months, dog owners can always go outside for a walk or play a game of Frisbee with their furry friends. However, when it gets colder, dog owners have to be a bit more creative.
One activity people may engage in with their dogs is a game of indoor fetch. Toss your pet's favorite toy across the living room and have it fetch and bring it back to you. Doing this multiple times is a great way for your dog to get some indoor exercise.
Another great activity to consider is tug-of-war. You can buy a rope or toy from your local pet store and then battle with your dog by tugging back and forth. This activity is not only good for exercise, but also a lot of fun on snowy days.
Even when it is cold outside, you can find ways to keep your dog active and healthy!
