Keeping Your Dog's Bed Clean

Are you a dog owner? If so, you may have purchased a bed for your pet and discovered that it is hard to keep your dog's sleeping area clean. Below, we have provided 5 tips that will help you keep your dog bed clean and ready for Fido to sleep in:

1. First, consider getting a bed that is washable or that comes with a cover that is easy to wash. This will save you a great deal of time in the long-run.
2. Take the time to brush your dog on a regular basis. The more your dog is brushed, the less it will shed and the less hair it will leave behind in its bed.
3. Don't leave wet food near the bed. Anything could happen, such as your dog spilling its food into its bed, making a huge mess for you.
4. Be sure to exercise your dog by taking it for long walks or playing catch. A tired dog is less likely to chew up its bed and/or destroy property.
5. Finally, consider using a towel as a cover for your dog's bed. The towel can be washed and is interchangeable should your dog be wet when it enters the house or should it have an accident.
