Pet Supplies
It is important to be prepared before you bring a new pet into your home. You should be able to find all the supplies you need at your local pet store.
Food and water are pretty much the only two supplies standard for all types of pets. All other supplies will depend on the type of animal. Below is a suggested list of supplies you should purchase if you have a dog or cat:
For Dogs:
- Collar with identification tags
- Leash, harness
- Food
- Treats, bones, and biscuits
- Food and water bowls
- Carriers, crates, or kennels
- Dog house
- Toys
- Stain remover and carpet cleaner
- Doggy door
- Doggy bed
- Pet gates (to prevent your dog from entering or exiting a certain area in the house)
- Grooming products (i.e. brush, shampoo, conditioner)
- Dental care products (toothpaste, toothbrush, breath fresheners)
- Flea and tick products
For Cats:
- Collar with identification tags
- Food (dry or wet) and treats
- Food and water bowls
- Litter and litter box
- Carriers or crate
- Cat bed
- Toys
- Cat scratchers
- Stain remover and carpet cleaner
- Catnip
- Grooming products (i.e. comb, shampoo, freshening spray)
- Dental care products (toothpaste, toothbrush, breath fresheners)
- Flea and tick products
