Is Your Puppy Teething?

At a few months of age, puppies start to go through the teething process. During this time, dogs shed their puppy teeth and their adult teeth start to grow and. For dog owners this can be a stressful time as puppies like to chew on things while they are in the process of losing their puppy teeth.
If your puppy is teething here are some tips that you may find helpful:
Try to keep your puppy as busy as possible. You can purchase to toys for your puppy to enjoy in this may distract him or her from chewing on other items in your house such as your shoes or clothes.
Another suggestion is to soak a wash cloth in water and place it in the freezer. When it is frozen, give it to your puppy to chew on as it will serve as another distraction.
Finally, make sure that you keep drapes, blankets, clothing and phone cords off of the floor to ensure that your puppy does not chew on these household items while teething.
