Spring Tips for Dogs

Spring is here and many dog owners are wondering what they can do to transition their pets from the cold winter months to the warmer months of spring. Below, we have provided a few useful tips to make the transition more seamless:
Many dogs tend to pack on winter weight because they spend more time indoors and may, therefore, be less active. To get your dog ready for the spring, it is a good idea to try cutting back on treats, watching your pet's diet, and slowly increasing outdoor activity.
Now that the weather has gotten warmer, what better way to introduce your dog to the heat than by playing outside? You can go for long walks, toss a Frisbee, or play your favorite game.
Finally, be mindful of grass. During the spring, people have their lawns chemically treated and that may not be safe for your pet. Watch for signs and keep your dogs' paws off of grass that has chemicals.
